I hate pay-to-win games. I hate luck-based games. I wanted a football game where your only advantage is your brain.
Tactiko is a tactical turn-based football game on a 6×4 grid. No reflexes needed, no button-mashing. Anyone can play. Every decision matters: where you move, when you pass, and where you shoot. Both teams plan their moves simultaneously, then everything resolves at once. Pure strategy.
No special moves. No rare cards. No premium characters. Every player starts equal.
Even the AI bots evolve fairly. They improve weekly through genetic algorithms, breeding the best performers and retiring the weakest. The bots get smarter over time, but they follow the same rules you do.
Human vs human is a mind game. Read your opponent, predict their moves, outsmart them. That's it.
Always free to play. No hidden costs, no surprise paywalls.
Someday I might add cosmetic personalization (custom names, kits, player appearances) for a small fee. I might add ads if the game gets popular, but they'd be integrated into the experience, like pitch-side banners. Never annoying popups or interstitials.
The game itself will always be free and fair.
